What kind of paint should you use when trying to do a painting like those of Jackson Pollock? I'm just using domestic acrylic paint diluted with water, but can't really get the contiuous flow/line of paint, just drips and splatters.
I've read that he used commercial synthetic paint for his, so should I try and use house paint?
Thank you!

You probably bought acrylic paint with a HIGH VISCOSITY or labeled HEAVY BODY. Buy acrylic paint with a LOW VISCOSITY or labeled FLUID ACRYLIC or SOFT BODY.

Go to Dick Blick website.

Click on letter A at the top.

Select Acrylic Painting.

Select Fluid Acrylics.

You can buy fluid acrylics at Dick Blick website.

Also, if Pollock used commercial paint, then use the same stuff he used. You will get alot more commerical paint to work with because they come in large cans. Don't know if the following paints are fluid or thick but check out these paints used for signs or murals:

Go to Dick Blick website.

Click on letter P at the top.

Select Painting.

Select Sign Painting Supplies.

Select Enamels Bulletin Colors -OR- Exterior Acrylics.

he painted with the canvas flat on the floor, one portray could take him months- have you ever seen one in each and every of his artwork in genuine existence? they're like 2" thick in some factors. If issues dropped on the canvas like nails and junk- he could basically go away it in you will pass via an excellent form of paint if its gonna seem genuine
