the fabric paint might work like you said it just take time to dry..what wil definitely work is dye and ink...maybe best is to get a couple of different coloured permanent markers and draw all kinds of doodles over the case.then artist ink..you get them in lots of colours and dyes should also be available in different colours from fabric shops..other thought is, slightly delute your fabric paint with water and you submerge your case in it that should work as a dye.then you dont need to go and buy any.

Probably not! the stamp will most likely not hold enough paint to get a clear letter on the shirt. and if it does not, you will not be able to re-stamp it Exactly where the first one was light. The ordinary latex house paint that I have gotten on my clothes by accident has Never Even Thought about washing off after years of painting in the same clothes. I would recommend a stencil, and a Very Short napped trim roller, so you do not experience the opposite problem from the stamp......too much paint! This would be closer to the silk-screen process than the stamp would. Stencils do have limitations on a single application, like eights and Bees look like they came from a stencil. But can be easily registered for multiple applications to lay over the original and line up properly, like a three used twice will look like an eight without the center connectors.. so long as sufficient dry time is allowed, and the shirt remains pinned down during the whole thing. Do not forget to place a sheet of wax paper inside the shirt to guard against bleed through during drying. Good luck and God Bless!
