The link below will show the picture. Please excuse the water bottle in front of it. The painting's measurements are 6ft, 2in by 4ft, 7in. I can't tell you exactly what type of paint that was used, because I just used whatever was in the shop (scenic painting class.) But it was an acrylic type. I also used standard ballpoint pen for detail. Not to bring it up, because it was a tragedy, but Maurice Sendak, (author of Where The Wild Things Are--which, if you're unfamiliar is what this painting is a recreation of) just passed away, so I don't know what that does to the value. I'm really unsure that I'm selling it, but I thought it would be interesting to know how much it is worth. I'm putting an example of the original photo underneath mine to compare.

Original:
(it is on this website. The colors are not exact, and it is slightly pixalated, but...you get the idea.)

Thanks in advance.

Ultimately your painting is worth the price you ask and others are willing to pay. However a reproduction of an original is valued much lower than an original. Most times it is calculated by the size of the canvas and material. At that size canvas it would be about $100-$350.

Just so you have the perspective, a reproduction of "The Flaming June" by Frederic Leighton hand-painted in oil on a canvas 72" x 48" sold for $222. I gave you the higher end just because any recent death raises prices.

It's a copy. Why would it be worth anything?
