These days many artists use projectors to project a photo on the canvas. Many others get a photo printed on the canvas and then paint on the printed reference photo, following all the patterns, shadows, highlights, colors and everything else which exist in the reference photo. By using these methods, many young artists who are not experienced enough or their technical abilities are not as good as the masters, can achieve hyper realistic paintings in a short period of time. But is it good? I always thought that becoming an artist takes time and every artist blossoms gradually by continuous working and technique is something which only gets better and better by hard working during a long period of time. But now I see that young artists use other ways to enhance their techniques and their works are sold at good prices, too!
