I paint different and sometimes very abstract paintings, I stay in Cape Town South-Africa and would like to see what reaction I would get.....

I'm from JHB... anyway why don't you take it to an art dealer for more information about the value of your art for a start, it would suck if the artwork is good but not worth much. Generally all types of art is accepted these days so it shouldn't be a problem selling. If you paint then you should have at least heard of or read about Fred Schimmel, he's South African too and his style seems to be abstract. He seems to be doing really well so maybe it could be the same for you.

you'll need to go to art galleries first have a look at the artworks they have ... you don't want to bother going to a gallery that only diplay Rennaissance paintings, once you've found galleries ... approach them with your portfolio and see what happens, you may have to arrange appointment first
