Emmy,

Artist's' paint is not good for you, some of the pigments are radioactive, or otherwise toxic. Use body paint for that. Get the recommendation of the World Body Painting Festival. Just do a search for it, and then search their sight for brand recommendations. Looking through their site is inspiring just for itself.

yes, acrylic paint can be applied to skin and it cannot be that harmful as other say, I mean, you're planing to cover "small portions of clean skin". You not gonna cover your entire body with acrylic paint every day, so it's not big deal if you paint a lil bit. I use acrylic paint every day and I got it on my hands all the time. You can just wash it later with water and soap, it peals really easily.

1 whole part white 1/2 red 1/2 yellow mixing them together will give you a peach color. You may need to darken or lighten it. Adding brown will give you a darker complexion, but if you need more brown skin I would recommend using less white. Because the mixture will look too grey if you have too much white and brown. There are also pre-mixed flesh colored paints that you can lighten or darken as you need. Be sure to have a lighter and darker value to the color that you do use, so that you can establish values within the painting. I'm sorry about your loss. You will make them proud!

Yes it can. Although it isn't the best thing, your skin will absorb a lot of it. Because of this where the paint is applied I will appear to look cracked or just discounted skin. Try applying some on the top of your hand and see how it looks. To get it off hot water from the shower just peels off. Soap will clean your pores. Don't use face wash until after you have te paint off because all it will do is smear it and cause a whole ew problem. Have fun :)

Ive done it before, as long as it states that it is non-toxic it should be fine. It is honestly not the best paint for skin, but whatever you need for your creative outlet is ok. It peels off of skin when dried and it gets crackly. I would say take it off with warm water and soap. Ive been told to use rubbing alcohol before, but its a little harsh on skin.
