How do you go about painting designs on cars?

Im painting my dodge neon 96 and don't know the exact procedures to take to paint a design on it, right now ive got it with primer just recently did the first couple layers of primer and im about to throw the white paint on it but I wanted to maybe paint some designs on it. Im just not sure if you paint it while it is with primer or after the first layer of white paint. if someone could please give me pointers, steps or website where I could find this information I would greatly appreciate it thank you

If you are doing your own artwork, the design work on cars and motorcycles is usually done on the completed painted surface and then a clear coat finish is applied to protect the art design and body paint.

Also know the production line cars which were identified by a specific style package had the stripes, numbers, and verbiage placed on the finished paint surface as a decals.

my answer to the cost of motor vehicle paint is to purchase enforce teeth from a farm grant save. that's an alkyd teeth that glosses somewhat weel if sprayed top. in case you utilize acrylic i might clean coat it to maintain gloos
