Question:
What type of paint should we use for sex?

My partner and I want to do a few projects where we cover our bodies in paint and have sex on a massive canvas. We can't use actual body paint because it dries on skin too quickly, this is the same problem I have with tempera and acrylic. Now oil dries slower but I still have my doubts about that...

What would be the best paint to use for this? It has to stay wet for awhile and not crust on our bodies because I don't want crusty chunks left on the painting.

any paint other than face paint really shouldn't be used on the body for heath reasons. if you want to make your project as safe as possible try and find out what pigments they use in face paint as these will be the safest to work with. if you work with oils dont use solvents for the clean up, rags and dishwashing soap should be enough.

if your dead set on doing it try and get in contact with this artist because they have done it before and they probably know what the safest way is to do it.

Try oil paint, but be sure to be careful about the genital area because you might have a funny reaction to the paint on the sensitive skin. Oil paints stay wet for hours, so you shouldn't have the issue of it drying on your skin.

use acrylic but add a retarder medium to slow the drying time

I would not use paint. Paint leaks. I would use a condom.
