How much does a nice set of paintbrushes cost?

Hey I have a friend who is an extraordinary artist but once told me she couldn't paint everything she'd like to because she did not have the right brushes. So for Christmas I plan on surprising her with a nice set but the problem is I don't know what do buy or how much to save. Does anyone know what a nice brand of brushes are and how much they would cost? Thanks!

It's hard to know exactly what type of brushes she'd like, but maybe you could browse around. Make sure to take into account what type of paint she uses (and maybe consider getting paint, too because that is quite expensive as well). Here are a few sets that are pretty nice.
