Most of the time people will tell you exactly what they want painted on their face. I would not charge unless they required excessive paint (all blue on 1 side all white on the other). We had little cups of paint and charged by the cup. Under 18years was a free paint job. Mostly because little kids were there and we didn't want to charge them and wanted the party to be fun for everyone. Have alot of the teams colors on hand. Logo's are great. If you are going to try and make money off of the booth keep it simple...Free IS more fun!!!

Keep your brushes in a cup of warm water. Have a towel near by. Clean off the brushes when needed. Wear a smock or apron so it doesn't get all over you. Have wipes nearby so you can clean off any surfaces that get painted on. Have the kids put a towel on their lap, so the paint doesn't splatter on their clothes.

Get a roll of plastic food wrap, and cover your work table with it. Also use an old shower curtain, or get a small plastic tarp to put under the chair you use (the old shower curtain is cheaper).
When you're done, you peel the food wrap off the table, and it's good as new.
Fold the shower curtain up, take it home, and rinse it off, and you're ready for the next event.

oh! I use stencils and a paint brush and just paint it in. It works really well! Here try these http://printables.scholastic.com/printables/search/?Ne=1652&N=47+479+1654&_N=47 You can just print & cut out the animal then tape it to their hand/face/arm etc. and paint it in. They come out much nicer than by hand (unless your really good) (=
here is another website http://painting.about.com/od/freestencils/tp/free-stencils.htm
I really hope this helps!! good luck and have fun! =)
I remember all I only got paint on was my hands but if you keep a wash cloth you should be fine!

I'd watch some videos on face painting and study them to see how they do it and keep clean.
Wear something over your clothes. Be careful.

Rub a little Vaseline into your hands before you start. Rub the surplus off with a cloth. The paint comes off easier and a rub with the greasy cloth in between times keeps the mess down.

For your hands I suggest wearing a thin pair of latex through away gloves and a long sleeve smock and wear an artist apron on top of the smock so you will be protected you from your hands down to your knees.

I have the same problem from face painting at events. You can use baby wipes I guess, but really all that matters is that you don't spill paint on the kids. I always end up testing the paint on my own hands, then I touch my face lol. Look in the mirror before you go anywhere...
