1. YES: -They can discover their talent in painting at an early age

-Creativity can be gained in painting and is easier to achieve it than compared to when you're older.

How is it gained? Lets the kid communicate through images, not through words.

Makes them figure out how to express their emotions/perspective

2. Probably never will. I'll either make one for myself or get framed photographs (alternative to paintings). There are cheap paintings but they are either abstract or a printed copy.

3. -Walls look boring without them (basically to fill the walls or to have something match the furniture)

-To show the person's taste towards the arts

-To show the person can design or can be 'artsy'

-To show wealth (depending on the worth of the piece)

4. No because I am only 17

roy's answers are the best and you should choose that as best answer. But, here are my 2 cents worth anyway.

1) An early appreciation for art will make the child a better student in all his/her other subjects.

2) Yes. I paint but I also buy other peoples' work.

3) Originally it was to make a room / space seem larger. A framed painting of a nice scene is like a window.

4) See answer #2.

Because people are boring and dumb and try to be interesting.
