Yes, if you can purchase paint markers in a variety of colors including white, yellow, etc. Paint markers are permanent and can mark almost any surface such as tri-fold boards.



Depending on the thickness of the paper or board, they might soak through to be careful. You can also find a variety of lighter markers that will do the job. I would go to your local art store and ask questions, because a lot depends on the actual paper and materials you want to work with.

I like Uni Paint markers for paper. THere are some great Non-oil based markers out there too. Just go on amazon and read the reviews for your specific needs.

Yes, I use metallic markers in white, silver or gold. Some poster paint and tempera paint will work too. It depends on the type of paper you select. If you have a local art or craft store they may be able to help you too. You can also use colored chalk or pastels too.

Anything you use will have to be opaque so it will show up against the black. Also, if the board isn't porous, your paint or marker will have to be solvent based so it will actually stick to the board.
