Doing a project where I need the translucency of watercolor paint on a plastic surface. Using watercolor the way it's intended will just bead up. One way to paint is to use a brush with a larger head then what they give you in the paint set. Then using as little water as possible dab the paint instead of dragging the brush across the surface. I wasn't totally happy with the results and washed it off, just put it under the tap, and found that the paint did stain the surface but that that was removable as well with some light scrubbing.

I'm going to try a splatter effect loading up the brush then pulling my finger over the briscsels

No it won't. Go to the dollar store and buy a bottle of acrylic craft paint
